How do I go about getting a dog from your rescue?
We do not accept enquiries on dogs without a completed homing questionnaire. Visit Gaining a K9 friend. Rather like a job application, if received with key questions incomplete, we will bounce it back and you may miss the dog you are keen on. Upon sending a saved word.doc homing questionnaire, follow it up with a call to our enquiries line a couple of days later. You can check if we have received it and discuss your application further. We make no apologies for the way we work - all rescues have their own ways. We are not a publically run service, nor do we receive sponsorship, just a "little help from our friends". If you want to get in the car and visit dogs, then you need to visit a Rescue Centre. Once through our vetting procedure you can visit the dog(s) we all agree may suit your circumstances.
If you are applying for other dogs with other rescues please let us know. We work closely with a network of other rescues and will probably hear. We do not want to waste your time, theirs or ours. For example, if you are having a home check carried out by another rescue, or do adopt another's dog, let us know - it will be appreciated.
Once our dogs are on our main websites they are ready for homing and we move very fast. If you aren't physically or psychologically ready, delay your application until you are. You can window shop on the websites in the meantime until the time is right.
