Her Story: Born May 09; she came into our care having been moving from home to home like a hot cake. She arrived into our care without even a collar. She had been spayed. She is deaf.
Salient points: English Bull Terrierx, white with dotty ears! Very poor hearing ?Deaf but focuses on your body language and facial expressions. Mixes with dogs well inside and outside, delighting in the weather whatever its complexion. Ava still needs awareness around food, rubbish bins etc. as can get guardy but this is fading; once in current foster. If challenged can snap or snarl to communicate her concerns but no mal-intention. No issues around space or object possession unless she is focused to surrender something but more about the coonfrontation she reacts to than actually item.
Advert: Ava is a beauty who needed so much extra loving care and guidance in her youth -but had inconsistency; abandonment and neglect. Ava embraces life, adores her walks and loves the company of dogs and her humans. Settles into routine and attunes to the requirements of her situation. Housetraining is good. Ava needs a dog confident person who reads her exaggerated and heart felt attempts to communicate. She also should live with a 'hearing' dog. She has feelings and can speak to you all about them.
Ava is a thief..she has stolen our hearts . Her needs are currently being met through her foster owners and her foster EBT brother. She has come on leaps and bound from the 'crazy confused' little girl who arrived with us 3months ago. Can you offer Ava stability; firm loving kindness. She needs a regime around mealtimes to avoid stress but food is lessening its grip on her as the weeks fly by.. She is a delight. We would not home Ava with children but visiting children yes under supervision as her commmunication can be a little 'raw' on occassions. She now takes treats gently. She must also be managed carefully around roads and access to roads. She is in good health and soo ready for her family. Ava is practically little Miss Perfect.
